Creepy 76 Gas Station Steve
9:24 a.m. 2005-05-27

Okay, I'm seriously not ever going to go next door to the 76 Gas Station ever again to get my morning coffee. Nope, it ain't going to happen. Steve, the cashier man is just too creepy.

Not only does he brush his teeth at the cash register, but the other day, he was cleaning his nails with a large swiss knife; we are talking about at least a 7 inch blade. Not only is that a tad creepy, BUT he is just getting a little too personal with his questions.

I consider myself a "people person". I generally will be polite to everyone, and if someone should ask me, "How is your morning..." I will usually respond. I'm not going to go out of my way to not respond and be rude--I think it takes a lot more effort to react rudely than it is to be nice; generally speaking. So, when the cashier asked how my morning was, I responded that I was tierd because I was up with the baby early that morning. That response in no way was mean't to bring up a whole conversation about how old my baby was, and if there were any complications with my pregnancy. Those are just too personal for a man to ask at any convienance store; am I wrong or am I right?! He actually asked me why I didn't visit the station during the last two months of my pregnancy...he actually calculated the time period. Is that weird or what? Then he said, "You weren't leaking or anything, were you?" That question totally flew over my head. What kind of question is that?! I just smiled and said, no, I had no problems, and made my way out of the station.

I wonder if he is marking his calendar as I write this noting that I did not come in for my morning coffee this morning. Creepy 76 Station guy is going to have a whole calendar marked, because heck, I'm not stepping in there until his shift is done! Coelha@aol.com
